My Life

Three Things I Live By

  1. The things I value most in life are the relationships I build.
  2. I get my fulfillment in life through three things:
    • Creating experiences for people
    • Making people’s lives better or easier
    • Making people laugh
  3. Being an active listener, a relentless question asker, and the most curious person on this Earth are among my top goals in life.

My (condensed) Story

I was born on October 22, 2006, in Westlake, Ohio, to two loving parents who immigrated from Syria. Growing up, I was a rowdy child, and most parents hated having their kids hang out with me. I think I've matured a little since then, but I still love cracking jokes and having fun.

In high school, I attended St. Ignatius High School, an all-boys Jesuit school. I came in knowing two kids from my grade school and left as Student Body President. I also did Model UN and won Best Delegate and Best Delegation at the UK's largest conference.

For college, I committed to Cornell University to study Applied Economics and Management at the Dyson School. But most of the fun things I do are outside of the classroom. I've gotten involved with everything from startups and venture capital to content creation and student organizations. Along the way, I started posting videos on Instagram and TikTok, and now I have more than 7,000 followers and 14 million views across both accounts.

These experiences have made me obsessed with consumer psychology and understanding why people care about the things they do. I love trying to understand what makes people pay attention, what makes them tell their friends about something, and ultimately what turns an idea into something people actually want.

That's why I've fallen in love with startups and venture. It's all one giant experiment in trying to understand people. I've worked at startups, tried building them, and spent a lot of time talking to founders who are much smarter than me. The more I dig, the more questions I have (but that's a good thing).

Living life has taught me a few things, but one of the most important is that embarrassment is overrated. Sometimes it's good to look stupid and put yourself out there, as long as what you're doing fulfills you.

I don't exactly know what I want out of life, but here are a few ideas:

  • Always be happy
  • Give my kids an amazing life (as my parents did)
  • Prioritize physical and spiritual health
  • Gain freedom (to do what I want, when I want, with no second thoughts)
